Data protection notice

The FAOA processes personal data for the purpose of fulfilling its statutory mandate and, in doing so, adheres to the applicable Swiss data protection regulations.

The FAOA treats the data entrusted to it confidentially and protects the interests of users. It only collects the personal data necessary for the performance of its tasks (principle of data minimisation). Stored data is managed with due care and protected against misuse.

The FAOA protects the technical infrastructure, together with the hosting provider and to the best of its knowledge and ability, against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, manipulation or falsification.

 

Use of the website without registration

The website can in principle be visited without providing personal data. When visiting the website, the web servers of the hosting provider generally collect the following usage data: IP address, number of visits, browser and operating system used, domain of the internet service provider, and an overview of the files requested.

Such data is anonymised and/or analysed in a non-personal form for the purpose of identifying trends and improving the services offered. No linkage is made between such usage data and personal data.

Under applicable Swiss data protection law, you have the right to obtain information about, rectify or delete your personal data and, where applicable, to have it provided or transferred.

 

Server log data

When visiting the website, technical usage data (e.g., IP address, time of access, browser/operating system, files accessed) may be generated. This data is used to ensure operation, analyse errors and safeguard IT security, and are deleted or anonymised as soon as they are no longer required for these purposes.

 

Cookies and analytics

Only cookies that are technically required are employed. Analytics or tracking tools are applied only insofar as they are necessary to improve the services offered; data is hereby processed in anonymised form where possible.
