Management

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors consists of a maximum of five members who are elected by the Federal Council for a term of four years. The Federal Council also appoints the chair, vice-chair, and determines the remuneration of the members.

The current members of the Board of Directors have been elected until December 31, 2027.

The Board of Directors is responsible for the organizational structure of the FAOA. It issues implementing provisions insofar as this task is assigned to it. The independence of the FAOA is reflected in its organizational autonomy and in the fact that the Board of Directors elects the Executive Board. The election of the Director requires the approval of the Federal Council.

Executive Board

The Executive Board is the operational body of the FAOA. It consists of the Director and the two heads of the Audit and Legal & International Affairs departments. The Executive Board is led by the Director.
